Protected area “Silistar” is located between Sinemorets and Rezovo, in the Strandja Mountain. It is the southernmost protected area on the Black Sea coast. Here you can find the largest diversity of plant species per unit area in Bulgaria and one of the last white Pontic dunes on the Black Sea coast. Close to Silistar Bay is the southernmost field of the sand lily in Bulgaria. This is also the place where the migratory birds pass, the so-called Via Pontica.
